Florida Vacations

Florida vacations are always easy to sell, but they get even easier when you mention the fun activities that happen in the Sunshine State.

Golf Getaway on the Gulf
Just east of Pensacola, FL, you’ll find Destin—a beachfront city with more sugar white sand than it knows what to do with. Also in Destin is Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, which, as you can probably guess, adds to its sandy surroundings with a terrifically green golf course. This fall, your clients are invited to take advantage of those greens with the Fore Fall Golf Getaway.

The package includes accommodations at LeCiel at Sandestin, two rounds on The Links Course, golf cart, range balls, unlimited use of Sandestin’s practice course and a $10 beverage cart credit per person. In addition, complimentary replay rounds booked on the day of play are offered, based on availability.

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort is a giant complex made up of four areas—Lakeside, Bayside, Beachside and The Village—that encompass 1,300 condos, villas, town homes and hotel accommodations. Within these areas guests can enjoy shopping, dining, nightlife and activities, and the marina, as well as the previously mentioned boutique hotel, LeCiel. The hotel aims to offer a tranquil setting with stunning views, and such amenities as wireless Internet, gourmet coffee, iPhone docking stations and flat-screen TVs. Guests staying at LeCiel are welcome to enjoy Sandestin Spa and the fitness center, located steps away.

The Fore Fall Golf Getaway package is available from Sept. 8-Oct. 31, starting at $89 pp dbl. For more information, call (888) 801-4388 or visit sandestin.com. Use promotion code FORE12.

Become a Beer Connoisseur in Jacksonville
Beer-lovers are going to love a visit to the Budweiser brewery in Jacksonville, where they can indulge in 45-minute long  Beer School classes. There, participants learn how beer is made, how to properly store it, the best way to pour and—most importantly—the best way to taste. After the class, guests will have the option to take the Beermaster Tour of the brewery, a 2-hour tour that explores the brewing process in much more detail, visiting the brew hall, primary fermentation cellar, lager cellar, packaging facility, quality assurance and finishing cellar. Plus, all Beermaster Tour participants who are 21 or older can enjoy a sample directly from a finishing tank.

Beer School classes are $10 pp; participants must be 21 years or older. Beermaster Tours are $25 for those 21 and older, or $10 for visitors ages 13-20. For more information, call (904) 751-8117 or visit budweisertours.com.

Downtown alongside the St. John’s River, Beer School participants will love the Omni Jacksonville Hotel for its close proximity to nightlife and, you guessed it, more beer. Others, meanwhile, won’t fail to notice the property’s luxurious rooms and amenities, and the nearby Landing Riverfront Marketplace, which offers shopping, arts and music. Rates start at $209 per night. For more information, call (800) THE-OMNI or visit omnihotels.com.
