Go River Rafting with Far and Away Adventures

Sure, plenty of families enjoy the snow and slopes of winter, but what do they do when the weather warms up? Hosting river rafting adventures on the Middle Fork of Idaho’s Salmon River, Far and Away Adventures encourages adventurous families to join them on a 6-day adventure tour of the River of No Return Wilderness.

“Show me a family who skis, and I’ll show you a family who gets turned on with river rafting, too,” says Steve Lentz, president of Far and Away Adventures. “The powerful experiences create family stories to be recounted throughout life.”

During their six days of adventure, families will ride along 100 miles of Salmon River, facing class IV+ rapids along the way. In the evenings they’ll dock at their camp, where they’ll find a five-star camp already set up with snacks waiting and wine chilling.

Indulgent amenities while “roughing it” include hot water for showers, state-of-the-art chalet tents with carpeting and elevated beds, and hot candlelit dinners at linen-draped tables, complete with organic wine to be sipped from crystal stemware.

Small group itineraries are available from late-May through mid-September, accommodating up to 22 guests.

Adult rates start at $2,750 pp, while children ages 5-17 start at $2,450 pp. For more information, call (800) 232-8588 or visit far-away.com.
