For travelers who couldn’t imagine vacationing without their furry friends, Ovolo Hotels has launched a new V.I.Pooch program to give a warm welcome to its canine guests.
With the new V.I.Pooch initiative, each of Ovolo Hotels’ two properties in Hong Kong and six properties in Australia will offer pet-friendly guestrooms complete with a plush dog bed, a no-mess eating and drinking mat, plus separate food and water bowls. While human guests of Ovolo can munch on the hotels’ signature Loot Bags full of snacks, V.I.Pooch’s get their own designer ‘Doggy Bags’ containing dog toys, healthy dog snacks and handy poop bags to bring along on walks, hikes and adventures around town. Up to two furry friends are permitted per guestroom.
“Dog-friendly rooms across Ovolo? Why not? Most decline to welcome prized pooches to their properties, particularly in Hong Kong, but we’re not most hotels. We’re thrilled to offer this unique perk to extend our ethos of effortless living,” said Girish Jhunjhnuwala, founder and CEO of Ovolo Hotels Group, in press materials. “Trips are more fun with your best friend, so why put your V.I.Pooch in a kennel? Your furry friend can snuggle into their own bed and dig in to a special doggie bag curated just for them. It doesn’t get more pawesome than that.”
The new V.I.Pooch package comes at an additional cost of approximately $102 plus 10 percent at Ovolo’s Hong Kong hotels or $55 per night at the Australian hotels.
