Loews Hotels & Resorts has added the second property to its Loews Regency brand with the acquisition of the 155-room Mandarin Oriental San Francisco Hotel—the property has been renamed the Loews Regency San Francisco.

The new property joins the Loews Regency New York in the company’s distinct luxury Loews Regency brand. Three unique qualities are offered under the Loews Regency portfolio: “location” (these properties will be set in popular locations in a destination); “service,” offering guests approachable luxury and a personalized style of service; and energy (the properties will offer vibrant lobby bars and lounges, and will feature Power Breakfasts).

“The Loews Regency San Francisco coupled with the iconic Loews Regency New York allows us to develop a new brand that really concentrates on customers looking for an intimate luxury experience,” says Jonathan Tisch, chairman of Loews Hotels & Resorts.

The new Loews Regency San Francisco is located in the top floors of San Francisco’s third-tallest office building, showcasing views of the city and its bay, in San Francisco’s Financial District. Loews Hotels operates three brands: Loews Hotels & Resorts, Loews Regency, and The OE Collection, which launched earlier this year, and is a management-based platform which supports existing or newly built independent hotels in the upper-upscale and lifestyle categories.
