Your Miami-bound clients might want to “pop in” to the new Indian Pop-Up Restaurant that will call The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, Miami home from Oct. 3 to Nov.  3 (6 p.m. to 10 p.m.).

A Passage to India: An Authentic Indian Pop-Up Restaurant will feature a menu that will remain true to original Indian favors—inspired by the foods, flavors and culture of executive chef Ramesh Kaduru’s hometown of Chennai, India—but each dish will be crafted with modern touches. Menu selections will include both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options with traditional favorites such as masala shrimp; chicken tikka; masala dosa and dal makhani.

The ambiance and decor of the pop-up restaurant will pay homage to India’s national bird, the peacock, which are sometimes seen in the Coconut Grove neighborhood strutting their iridescent blue, green and gold feathers. Low-lying sheer, multicolored fabrics will adorn the ceiling from end-to-end, and gold- and silver-beaded accent pillows will sparkle in cozy, soft-seating, covered with bold tapestries.

For clients who want to learn how to create Indian delicacies, chef Kaduru will offer an intimate and exclusive cooking demonstration in the restaurant’s private dining room on Oct. 12 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. ($35 pp, plus tax and gratuity). Only 15 reservations are available; guests can call (305) 644-4675.

The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, Miami, incidentally, is a 115-room boutique hotel set on four acres with chic urban surroundings, and shopping and nightlife just a stroll away. The hotel features the 6,000-sq.-ft. Boutique Spa, as well as an elevated pool deck with private cabanas.
