It was a sunny day in South Beach on Monday as Recommend headed to The Clevelander for the inaugural celebration of a brand-new addition to Gray Line Miami’s fleet of popular city tour buses. Gray Line, which launched in Miami just last year, along with members of the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) unveiled its new double decker tour bus, one of five that will be offering Miami vacationers a fun new way to see the city.

“There has never been a better time for the introduction of double decker buses into Greater Miami and the Beaches,” said William D. Talbert, III, CDME, president and CEO of the GMCVB. “With hop-on/hop-off service, the new buses offer visitors a great option for discovering and enjoying our destination’s many unique neighborhoods and attractions.” He added, “At the same time, retailers, restaurants and attractions will reap added benefits throughout this new addition to our community.”

Indeed, the Miami hop-on/hop-off tour—totaling three hours for the full route—allows passengers to spend time at area attractions then reboard at any of the 20 stops throughout South Beach, Downtown, Coral Gables and Little Havana, where buses arrive every 15 minutes.

While on board, visitors can take in the city’s popular sights on a narrated tour. During the inaugural tour, Recommend got a sneak peek of the tour’s South Beach portion and we must say, the views from the top deck were pretty impressive—even for this Miami-native editor.

“One of the best things about sightseeing is taking pictures,” says Miami Beach Mayor Matti Herrara Bower. “People will get beautiful shots of our beautiful scenery from the open deck. Those great pictures will make friends and family want to visit us as well.”

Rates for Gray Line Miami’s double decker bus tour run $34 pp. Through April 30, the company is offering special 2-for-1 pricing to celebrate the new buses. For more information, visit
