The exhibit Degas’s Dancers at the Barre: Point and Counterpoint, which is on view at The Phillips Collection Oct. 1, 2011 through Jan. 8, 2012, is the first exhibition in Washington, D.C. to feature Edgar Degas’ dancers in over 25 years. Degas was a French artist famous for his work in painting, sculpture and drawing.
