Lindblad Galapagos
A blue footed booby is one of several animals travelers can expect to see in The Galapagos.

For the first time in Lindblad Expeditions’ more than 50 years of experience in bringing travelers to explore The Galapagos, the cruise line is now offering brand-new, shorter itineraries.

Departing on Saturdays and Thursdays, the new Wild Galapagos Escape is designed for travelers who want to explore The Galapagos but have a limited amount of time to spend on the islands. Set aboard the newly refurbished 48-guest National Geographic Islander, the expedition features five days in the archipelago exploring the islands, with a 1-night pre-voyage stay in Guayaquil, and the option of another night post-voyage at no additional charge. With multiple adventures each day on land and under sea—including options for walks and hikes, kayaking, paddle-boarding and snorkeling—guests will have the full Lindblad-National Geographic Galapagos cruise experience on these shorter expeditions with five days exploring the archipelago.

Dr. Sylvia Earle, marine biologist and Explorer-in-Residence at the National Geographic Society, will join the first two Wild Galapagos Escape voyages as a special guest speaker on Nov. 24 and 29, 2018. Other 2018 departures for the Wild Galapagos Escape include April 27; May 2, 11, 16; Aug. 31; and Sept. 5, 14, 19. An Oct. 31, 2019 departure is also scheduled.

Guests can also experience both The Galapagos and Machu Picchu on Lindblad’s new 9-day Wild Galapagos & Peru Escape. Starting in Lima on a Saturday night, travelers on this itinerary will stay two nights in the Sacred Valley, visit Machu Picchu, and see Cusco before departing on The Galapagos portion of the trip aboard the National Geographic Islander. Departures for the Wild Galapagos & Peru Escape are scheduled for: Dec. 1, 2018, May 4 and 18, Sept. 7 and 14, and Nov. 2, 2019.

Pricing for the Wild Galapagos Escape starts at $5,450 pp dbl, while the Wild Galapagos & Peru Escape starts at $6,250 pp dbl.
