For the first time in the nation’s history, St. Kitts will welcome a second weeklyUnited Airlines nonstop flight departing from the carrier’s New York hub.

Launched to complement the carrier’s existing Saturday service, United Airlines will offer this peak season mid-week flight from Jan. 9 to March 6, 2019. In total, United will operate nine scheduled roundtrip, nonstop Wednesday flights between Newark Liberty International Airport and the island nation. The flight will depart from Newark at 8:35 a.m. and arrive in St. Kitts at 2:05 p.m. It will depart again an hour later and arrive in New York at 7:07 p.m.

“We are thrilled that United has decided to provide a second weekly nonstop flight to St. Kitts,” said Racquel Brown, CEO of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority, in press materials. “Having a Wednesday flight gives travelers more flexibility in their vacation planning and provides increased capacity during the period when demand is highest.”
