Following more than a foot of snow that fell in the final days of 2018, Vail Mountain is now 100 percent open. All lifts at Vail Mountain are operational for the season, providing access to 5,289 skiable acres of terrain, the most currently open in Colorado.

“It has been a legendary start to the season, with the second-earliest opening for Blue Sky Basin in history, to offering all 5,289 skiable acres before the New Year,” said Doug Lovell, Vail chief operating officer, in press materials. “With excellent early season snow conditions, this has been the strongest start to the season in decades, thanks to the hard work of our mountain operations teams and a little help from Mother Nature.”

Skiers and snowboarders looking for the best prices on lift tickets can purchase tickets online in advance at snow.com/lifttickets.
