Viceroy Hotel Group debuted its 15th property worldwide with the opening of Viceroy Los Cabos part of The Viceroy Icon Collection.

Formerly known as Mar Adentro, the 194-room property has re-emerged as a Viceroy resort after undergoing renovations and enhancements. Completely re-conceptualized and brand new to the resort are a beachfront pool and bar, a refreshed lobby and arrival experience, five new dining venues, and a fitness center curated.

“The resort stands out as provocative and sensational,” said Bill Walshe, CEO of Viceroy Hotel Group, in press materials. “It furthers Viceroy’s quest to deliver highly individual, modern luxury experiences in the world’s most sought-after destinations.”

The property’s design is minimalistic and embraces water as a central element throughout the Viceroy Los Cabos. The new lobby interiors have transformed from stark white to feature a warm color palette of blue and natural sand tones—all inspired by the meeting of the Los Cabos desert and sea. Other features of the Viceroy Los Cabos include the Nido Restaurant, named after the Spanish word for “nest,” which serves dishes inspired by Spain, Mexico, and Peru, as well as an array of international ceviche choices, while The Casero Restaurant and Otro Bar serve homestyle Mexican cuisine. The beachside Nidito, which overlooks the infinity pool, offers bite-size choices such as tacos, fruit cups, and cocktails.

The property also offers a variety of experiential activities such as learning to surf with a local pro; an exclusive fishing with the chef experience; scuba diving with underwater photography; fluorescent night dives; and custom tequila making classes.

Room rates at the Viceroy Los Cabos start at $420 per night. For more information, visit viceroyloscabos.com.
