In a move that is sure to please your most dedicated wine-loving clients, European Waterways is now offering back-to-back hotel barge cruises that allow for exploration of some of France’s most popular wine regions—Champagne and Burgundy—with a stay in Paris in between.

The 2-week Back-to-Back itinerary starts with a weeklong stay aboard the 12-passenger Panache hotel barge, which cruises the River Marne through Champagne’s scenic vineyards. One highlight of this half of the itinerary is a visit to the village of Hautvilliers, known as the “cradle of Champagne,” where the monk Dom Perignon discovered the method of making what we know as Champagne today. In this village, guests will indulge in a private tasting at a renowned vineyard, complemented by dinner at a restaurant serving local cuisine. Guests on Panache will also head to Epernay, widely known as the “Champagne capital of the world,” for an exclusive tasting and cellar tour.

Before transferring to the 12-passenger L’Impressionniste to start explorations of Southern Burgundy, wine-lovers on the Back-to-Back itinerary will spend the evening in Paris with a stay at the Hotel Westminster in Paris. Once aboard the L’Impressionniste, guests will spend a week floating down the Burgundy Canal while participating in vineyard and wine cellar visits, private wine tastings, and more.

The Back-to-Back itinerary is available mid-June through early July with prices starting at $12,180 pp dbl. This price includes all meals, wine, an open bar, daily escorted excursions, local transfers to and from the hotel barge, and use of all onboard amenities, such as bicycles and spa pools.
