AmaWaterways has an upcoming FAM on the Rhine, sailing from Amsterdam to Basel, with departures on Nov. 16 on the AmaPrima, and Nov. 18 on AmaMora.
During the 7-night FAM, which takes you from Amsterdam’s colorful canals to the majestic Swiss Alps, you’ll be able to explore France’s Alsace region with its welcoming capital, Strasbourg, and its priceless gem, Riquewihr. Then there is Breisach, rising above the vineyards of the Rhine, and Freiburg, one of Germany’s sunniest cities and gateway to the Black Forest. Fabled towns lost in time present you with the chance to taste local flavors—Rudesheimer coffee and Kolsch beer—and to touch history up-close with guided hikes and bike rides.
Cost is $990 for travel agent and $1,190 for companion in best stateroom available (port charges, land programs, round-trip airfare and gratuities are additional). FAM rates are applicable on new bookings only to travel agents and traveling companion in the same stateroom. Agents must be registered with AmaWaterways prior to booking.
