As a new year and new decade awaits, here are hotel openings that you should have on your radar.

Planet Hollywood Beach Resort Cancun

Set to open in March, the new Planet Hollywood Beach Resort Cancun is in the exclusive resort enclave of Costa Mujeres. This new all-inclusive resort will feature 898 luxury suites, authentic Hollywood memorabilia and curated entertainment-themed experiences. There will be a mini-golf course, lazy river, water park, and FlowRider surf simulator. The beachfront resort will also be the first Planet Hollywood property to debut Adult Scene, a new adults-only ‘resort-within-a-resort’ concept.

Six Senses New York

Situated on a full city-block in West Chelsea, the XI, where Six Senses New York is located, rises above the Hudson River and the High Line in Manhattan. The hotel occupies ten floors of No. X and will open with 136 guest rooms and suites, a restaurant just off the High Line and a café with an outdoor terrace. Sustainability plays a central role in each element of the hotel, with the property adhering to the same guiding values that inform all Six Senses properties.

Two restaurants will showcase the brand’s culinary approach to wellness by serving fresh, seasonal and locally sourced produce and ingredients. Six Senses Spa introduces a layered approach to wellness with treatments that are an intuitive mix of science and human awareness, where a high-tech and high-touch approach is crafted around the individual.

Kalahari Resort, Center Round Rock, TX

This $550 million, 350-acre complex is slated to open in November, 20 minutes from Austin. Projected to be the largest and most grand Kalahari Resort yet, the resort will be America’s Largest Indoor Waterpark. It will include 1.5 million square feet of resort space, a 223,000 sq. ft indoor waterpark and 975 guestrooms and suites.

Dining outlets include Double Cut Charcoal Grill, Mondo Sortino’s, 5 Ninos, B-Lux Grill & Bar, Great Karoo Marketplace Buffet, Marrakesh Market Eatery, Redd’s Piano Lounge, Rwanda Roasting Company Coffee Shop, Last Bite Candy Store, and Waterpark Food and Drink.

Circa Resort & Casino Las Vegas

Circa Resort & Casino is a brand-new integrated gaming resort in Downtown Las Vegas is slated to open in December of 2020. A welcome addition to the iconic Fremont Street Experience, Circa will bring new energy to Downtown as the first ground-up resort development in the area since 1980. The new resort is the brainchild of developers and brothers Derek and Greg Stevens.

Circa will include 777 rooms and suites, and a collection of thoughtful amenities, including a range of eclectic restaurants, the longest outdoor bar on Fremont Street Experience, a spa and a two-level casino with state-of-the-art slot and table gaming options. The iconic Vegas Vickie, the kicking cowgirl sign that once graced Fremont Street, will be part of the resort’s lobby.

JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa

JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa is set to open in the spring of 2020 featuring 516 guestrooms, including 81 suites, a rooftop terrace with views of nightly theme park fireworks, specialty hotel restaurants, a spa with ten treatment rooms, a pool, and miniature golf course.
