One in 59 children are diagnosed with autism, and the numbers increase each year. Families of children on the spectrum spend $262 billion each year on autism-related services.

A recent survey found that, although 89 percent of families with children on the spectrum want to travel, only 11 percent are satisfied with current travel options and services.

The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) has created the Certified Autism Travel Professional (CATP) training and certification program to meet this growing need.  The program is completely online and is also self-paced.

Becoming a Certified Autism Travel Professional will give you access to an underserved and untapped market and increase your revenue by giving you the knowledge and tools needed in order to access the fastest-growing market in the travel industry.

In addition, IBCCES created autismtravel.com, a portal for parents that highlights Certified Autism Centers around the globe. These organizations are dedicated to providing inclusive experiences for all and have completed IBCCES training and certification.  These destinations include Sesame Place, Beaches Resorts, SeaWorld Orlando parks, hotels and more.

Visitors to autismtravel.com also have access to a complete list of professionals that have completed the Certified Autism Travel Professional program.
