Carnival Opens Sales for New Mardi Gras Ship

Carnival Cruise Line has officially opened sales for the inaugural season of its new Mardi Gras ship,which will set sail in 2020.

Mardi Gras’ 9-day maiden voyage will depart on Aug. 31, 2020 from Copenhagen as the ship makes its way to Southhampton with stops in Germany, Norway, The Netherlands, Belgium, and France. This voyage will be followed by a 14-day trans-Atlantic crossing from Southampton to New York departing Sept. 9, 2020. Stops along the way will include Spain’s Canary Islands, and the Azores of Portugal. Mardi Gras will then sail a 6-day roundtrip journey from New York to Portland, Maine and Saint John, New Brunswick on Sept. 24-30. This sailing will be followed by a 15-day Carnival Journeys voyage departing New York Sept. 30, 2020 and arriving in Port Canaveral, Fla., on Oct. 15, 2020, calling at Amber Cove, San Juan, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, St. Kitts, Aruba, Curacao, and Grand Turk, positioning the vessel for year-round voyages to the Caribbean.

After its initial visit to the CaribbeanMardi Gras will kick off its year-round program from the Space Coast on Oct. 24, 2020, offering two different 3-port, 7-day itineraries, alternating weekly to the eastern and western Caribbean featuring some of the region’s most popular ports. Eastern Caribbean cruises will visit San Juan, Amber Cove and Grand Turk, while western itineraries will stop in Cozumel, Costa Maya and Mahogany Bay (Isla Roatan).
