Carnival Sunshine

Carnival Cruise Lines has a bevy of new happenings, from multi-million dollar ship transformations to a new travel agent program.

Carnival Sunshine, which recently underwent a $155 million transformation, will move from New Orleans to Port Canaveral starting April 2014, while Carnival Dream will move from Port Canaveral to New Orleans, operating year-round 7-day Caribbean cruises starting April 2014. Carnival Liberty will also launch year-round 5- to 8-day Caribbean cruises out of Port Canaveral, starting in May 2014.

“These deployment changes will enable us to offer our guests even more exciting Carnival cruise vacation choices from Central Florida and the Gulf region and significantly enhance our leadership positions in the Port Canaveral and New Orleans markets,” says Gerry Cahill, Carnival president and CEO.

In addition, Carnival is launching a new travel agent outreach program, Carnival Conversations, which will connect travel agents with the company, allowing them to provide feedback and communicate with the company. The program will include in-person events such as road show events, agency visits, trade shows and seminars at sea, as well as a Carnival Conversations section on the company’s site. For more information, visit goccl.com.
