Star Clippers has announced free companion fares on select eastbound and westbound Bali departures in June, July and August 2019, meaning that a couple will sail for the price of one.

The starting fare for an inside state room has dropped by half to $715 per person, while the per-person cost for the owner’s cabin—which includes butler service and a whirlpool tub—is now $1,685 with this deal. Prices are based on double occupancy.

Star Clippers’ east- and westbound 7-night Indonesian sailings visit multiple islands across the Indonesian archipelago. Guests will visit remote spots such as the uninhabited island Satonda, believed by locals to be sacred and surrounded by coral reefs that are perfect for snorkeling and diving. Other stops include Komodo Island, where a visit to the national park offers the chance to spot the seven-to-nine foot long Komodo dragons in their natural environment.

Sailings take place on board the 170-passenger Star Clipper, one of three tall clipper ships in the Star Clippers fleet. The ship’s nautical decor and brass accents recall the golden age of sailing, but they are modern cruise ships featuring spacious accommodations and two swimming pools. Star Clippers itineraries are created using wind charts to ensure that the ships can sail under wind power as much as possible for an authentic sailing experience.
