The small group journey (just 12 to 24 guests, guaranteed) features Beijing; Xian, with its renowned army of 7,000 life-sized Terra Cotta Warriors; a cruise along the Yangtze River; and Shanghai, in addition to a 3-day visit to the Tibetan capital of Lhasa.
While in Tibet guests will have the opportunity to walk alongside pilgrims and seekers at some of Buddhism’s most sacred sites, including Jokhang, the country’s holiest temple; visit the summer palace of the Dalai Lamas at Norbulinka; and tour the Potala Palace, which has more than 200,000 Buddha images and 1,000 rooms. Guests will also visit with a local family in their home and dine in local restaurants.
