Couples can now get married at sea aboard three Norwegian Cruise Line ocean liners: the BreakawayGetaway, and in the fall when the ship debuts, the Norwegian Escape.

The now legally recognized ceremonies, performed by the ship’s captain, began earlier this month. Norwegian’s Wedding At Sea package includes a bridal bouquet and boutonniere, a Champagne toast, wedding cake, and more, plus an experienced wedding coordinator to assist with the planning process and the details of the day; the marriage license will be issued by the Bahamas.

Norwegian also offers a Harborside Ceremony, which is performed while the ship is docked in select ports of call; a Destination Ceremony, which is performed on shore in select ports of call; and a Vow Renewal package. Plus, legal same-sex ceremonies are also offered in destinations where same-sex marriages are recognized by law, including Boston, Hawaii, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, Vancouver, Tampa, Miami, and Port Canaveral.
