Variety Cruises A boutique yacht cruise line based in Greece, Variety Cruises has already debuted its first of five new itineraries for 2012. The Rivers of West Africa tour takes travelers along the Gambia River for eight days, while four more itineraries set to begin periodically throughout the year will explore the Mediterranean, Middle East and Southeast Asia. Maple Leaf Adventures Recognized by National Geographic and Frommers for exploring remote coasts while enabling exceptional wildlife viewing, Maple Leaf Adventures provides 5- to 12-day cruises for up to eight people aboard its 92-ft. yacht, the Maple Leaf. MSC Cruises New for 2012, the MSC Divina joins the MSC fleet in May with itineraries touring the Mediterranean. Windstar Cruises Beginning November 2012 through March 2013, Windstar is offering five 7-day itineraries—three in the Caribbean and two in Costa Rica—along with a potential savings of up to $900 pp when booked by Feb. 24, 2012. Holland America Holland America’s MS Volendam heads for Asia on Dec. 22, 2012, where it will sail two different 14-day voyages with ports of call in Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, South Korea, Thailand, Cambodia and Japan. While in the area, the Volendam will cruise between Hong Kong and Singapore on the Far East Explorer Voyages, and between Hong Kong and Kobe on the China and Japan Discovery Voyage. On April 15, 2013, the Volendam will turn its destination for Canada on a 17-day Trans-Pacific Repositioning Voyage, arriving just in time for the start of the Alaska sailing season.
