The keel for Royal Caribbean Internationals’ fourth Oasis-class ship was laid during an official ceremony in late October at the STX shipyard in St. Nazaire, France, marking the beginning of its construction. The unnamed ship, scheduled for delivery in spring 2018, will feature 16 decks with 2,700 staterooms, an 82-ft.-long zipline and a hand-crafted carousel, as well as the Rising Tide bar, the AquaTheater high-diving performance venue and a Central Park with more than 12,000 live trees and plants. Additional amenities include twin FlowRider surf simulators, an ice-skating rink and the H2O Zone Kids’ Aqua Park, plus a Royal Promenade with restaurants, lounges and boutiques.
