Windstar Cruises has announced its latest plans for the $18 million fleet-wide renovation, set to be completed in December.

Windstar’s flagship, Wind Surf, has entered into dry dock and Wind Spirit’s public spaces will be refurbished this month. Wind Spirit’s sister yacht, Wind Star, was fully renovated this past April. Wind Surf’s restaurant, Degrees, has also been transformed into a “contemporary dining room with a French twist,” renamed Stella Bistro. In addition to these renovations, the staterooms and suites of all three yachts were refurbished last fall and this spring, adding 69,000 sq. ft. of new, hand-crafted sails as well as new contemporary furniture and lighting features.

“We are looking forward to having our whole fleet enter 2013 with an elevated feeling of private yacht style,” says Hans Birkholz, CEO of Windstar Cruises. “We want to continue to offer the best vacation experience possible on board our unique sailing yachts.”

Caribbean cruise rates for 2013 start at $1,999 pp dbl, and the Mediterranean cruises start at $2,999. For more information, call (800) 258-7245 or visit
