Jungle Island, the 18-acre landmark attraction on Watson Island in Miami, is getting an extreme makeover. The animal exhibits will no longer be the main focus for guests who visit Jungle Island. With the new makeover, guests will enjoy watersports, ziplines, and even sunbathing at a new lagoon.

The 3-part renovation and expansion will occur over two years and include a private beach club. But, you won’t have to wait long to get a taste of what’s to come, as the first phase will debut this summer featuring ziplines with views of the Miami skyline, children adventures, water slides, and a new lagoon. In addition, the park will be upping it’s banquet facilities, as well as its food and beverage offerings. The multi-million dollar renovation will re-purpose Jungle Island as an eco-adventure destination.
