Family travel can be a little more adventurous than theme parks and laying on the beach. At the Omni Bedford Springs Resort, located in Pennsylvania’s Allegheny Mountains, there are various options for family fun including mountain biking, fishing tours, Segway tours, tennis and a whole lot more.

The resort has added new outdoor activities such as the Hook, Line, and Sinker guided fishing tour, teaching your clients’ little ones how to fish with basic fishing skills like casting, knot-tying, and safety. This tour is ideal for kids ages 4-12. After they’ve mastered their new techniques, it’s practice time at the resort’s private Red Oak Lake. Rates are $25 per child for 90 minutes; half- and full-day tours are also available starting at $230 and $315 pp, or $160 and $230 for two people.

Guests who want to roam the grounds of the hotel can do so on the Try Me Introductory Segway Tour, which leads guests (ages 12 and up) on a 30-minute guided tour around the resort’s grounds. Rates are $35 pp.

Then for a little down time, guests can take in the Springs Eternal Spa, which uses natural spring water for all treatments. New this summer, the spa will offer the First Lady Luxurious Facial Experience, which includes a warm and cool stone massage, pressure point facial massage, and a series of active, luxurious masks.

The resort is also offering the Tour de Springs package, starting at $244 per night, including accommodations, s’mores kits to use at the fire pit, and one voucher for two complimentary 2-hour bike rentals.
