G Adventures has announced a new National Geographic Journeys Agent Specialist Program designed to help U.S. travel advisors enhance their product knowledge and boost sales for the small group trips offered through a partnership by two travel operators. The Agent Specialist Program is now open for registration, with special incentives for advisors who complete the course by the end of April.

The 1-hour course is organized into three learning modules and can be access from any desktop or mobile device. In part one, agents will gain a deeper understanding of the National Geographic and G Adventures partnership including its goals, background and positioning in the market. Part two dives into the culturally immersive experiences that the Journeys offer. The third section provides insight about the target Journeys traveler including top travel interests and booking preferences to help advisors identify top prospects. The three modules can be completed in one sitting, or in separate parts.

We designed this learning course with the greatest flexibility possible for our agent partners. We know they have many options and providers from which to choose. Once enrolled, they will have unlimited access to the course so it can be taken at whatever pace best suits their schedules.” said Sasha Albuerme, G Adventures’ trade marketing lead, in press materials. “The idea is to help agents feel fully equipped and empowered so that, together, we can change more lives through travel.”

Upon completion of the course, newly-certified Journeys Specialists will receive a National Geographic Journeys Starter Kit in the mail that includes their personalized Journeys Specialist certificate. Also enclosed will be contact information for their local G Adventures Global Purpose Specialist (GPS), a quick-reference National Geographic Journeys Cheat Sheet, the 2019 National Geographic Journeys Brochure, Journeys postcards to personalize and mail to clients, and other branded collateral such as a wearable pin, desk flag, doorway sticker and notebook. In addition, advisors who register and become certified by April 30, 2019 will qualify to win a spot on National Geographic Journeys FAM trip to Peru with G Adventures later this year. The two wining agents will be randomly selected among those who qualify.
