Newlyweds in search of a honeymoon in an exotic locale with plenty of privacy have their pick with these off-the-beaten-path romantic escapes.

Located in Tulum, Mexico, the 5-suite Casa de las Olas is set on a secluded beach near the 1.3-million-acre Sian K’an Biosphere Reserve, an UNESCO World Heritage site.

“Casa de las Olas is one of the few places in the world where environmentally conscious honeymooners can fall completely off the grid after the stress of planning and entertaining a wedding,” says James Greenfield, owner of Casa de las Olas. “Our property is totally private and intimate, which gives couples a chance to focus on each other and truly enjoy the simplicities of life.”

Newlyweds can choose from a 5- or 7-night package in an Ocean Front Master Suite, complete with two king-size canopy beds, a full kitchen, family room, patio and a hammock. In addition, the couple will receive welcome champagne on arrival, a couples’ massage on the beach, a private catamaran ride and a dinner for two at Hartwood (not including alcohol). The 7-night package also includes dinner for two at Celti, excluding alcohol.

The package is available from now through Oct. 15. Rates start at $3,000 for the 5-night package and $4,050 for the 7-night package. For more information, visit casadelasolas.com.
