Eleven Experience opened its flagship property just over a year ago, but it’s already expanding with 10 more luxury properties set to open around the world by 2015.

“Over the next three years Eleven Experience will grow its collection of distinctive properties and adventure experiences to include destinations in locales such as the French Alps, Iceland, The Bahamas and the Colorado Rockies, with additional international destinations on the horizon,” says Jenny Jeffery, Eleven’s director of marketing.

The properties not only provide the amenities of five-star hotels, they also offer guests a tailor-made adventure, courtesy of a permanent team of professional guides, chef and concierge—offering everything from heli-skiing to river rafting.

“We are pioneers in the experiential travel industry—combining our own properties, with expert guides and teams of highly trained staff allows for a highly bespoke travel experience,” Jeffery says. “We take all of the organizing and stress out of vacation planning and simply take care of everything for you. From a private cat skiing experience to heli-skiing from our chalet in France—our staff works to create a memorable adventure while providing luxury accommodations that will keep you coming back for more.”

As the name implies, Eleven Experience will have 11 properties in total, starting with flagship Scarp Ridge Lodge in the Colorado Rockies, which opened in November 2011, and continuing with Eleven Chalet Pelerin Tarentaise, set to open next spring.

Scarp Ridge Lodge, originally a 19th century mason’s lodge and Victorian brothel in the mining town of Crested Butte, is now a 7-room hotel overlooking a river valley. Whether guests want to adventure on 12,000-ft. back-country ski trails or go salmon fishing on the Taylor and Gunnison rivers, the private luxury retreat can customize these adventures. Featuring an indoor salt-water swimming pool, log-fire lounge, solar-power thermal heating, and an automated oxygen delivery system for select rooms, this retreat is more than your average lodge.

Eleven Chalet Pelerin Tarentaise, Eleven’s second property, will be located in the Bourgogne village of Le Miroir in the French Alps. The 6-bedroom stone cottage can hold up to 12 guests and will offer guided ski safaris at cross country trails nearby, as well as heli-skiing at La Thuile in Italy. In the warmer months, guests can go hiking or mountain biking in the Tarentaise Valley, or see the Bourgogne farms and villages where burgundy wine is produced. When guests aren’t on the slopes or hiking, they can head to the indoor saltwater pool, Finnish sauna and steam room. Rates include all activities and a personal chef, full concierge service and airport transfer.

Our ski editor will be visiting the property in late-January, so look for an onsite review later in 2013. Both properties are available for group-hire only, and rates start at $12,500 per night.

Other properties set to open include: Taylor River Cabins in summer 2013 in the Colorado Rockies; Edington Priory in Wiltshire, England in summer 2013; The Bahamas House Inn on Harbour Island in fall 2013; and Deplar Farm in northern Iceland in January 2014. Four of the properties will be all-inclusive and group-hire only, sleeping 10-20 guests, and the other two will be more “hotel-style.”
