COMO Hotels and Resorts is constantly expanding and improving all over the globe—with luxurious upgrades and new property openings.

This month, COMO completed three new 2-bedroom beach houses at Parrot Cay by COMO, in Turks & Caicos. The company also recently opened the COMO Shambhala Urban Escape spa at the Metropolitan London, which features six treatment rooms, two of which are doubles. Guests won’t have to worry about dreaded jet lag either with the Red Eye Package, which features a shower on arrival, a 60-minute COMO Shambhala massage, a breakfast tray, and guaranteed room access from 11 a.m.

In Bhutan, COMO just opened Uma by COMO, Punakha, which is the sister property to Uma by COMO, Paro, COMO’s first hotel in the country. The new hotel is an 11-room lodge on a hillside in the Punakha Valley, about a 5-hour drive from Paro.

“The COMO Group was one of the first luxury hotel companies to go into the Kingdom of Bhutan, opening Uma Paro in 2004. To be able to now share the Punakha Valley with our guests reminds us what a privilege it is to operate in a place that has been so carefully preserved for future generations,” says Gabriela Henrichwark, group marketing director at COMO Hotels and Resorts. “We therefore want to make sure that we really get under the skin of Bhutan with our joint packages between Uma Paro and Uma Punakha.”

With the Best of Bhutan, travelers stay at both hotels and can choose from a 5-, 7- or 10-night Himalayan Tour, which features hiking, biking, yoga and cultural excursions. Rates start at $4,430 per room single for the 5-night itinerary and $8,450 per room single for the 10-night itinerary.

In August 2013, COMO will open its first U.S. property in South Beach in Miami, taking over the former Traymore Hotel, an 8-story Art Deco hotel. The beachside property will be redone with interiors by Italian designer Paola Navone, and it will have its own dock on Lake Pancoast, across the street from the hotel. The top floor will feature a full COMO Shambhala Urban Retreat spa.

Over in Thailand, COMO is opening Point Yamu by COMO, Phuket, in November 2013 on the Yamu Peninsula. The hotel will be located only 20 minutes from the Phuket airport and feature 129 rooms, also designed by Navone, all with panoramic views of the peninsula and Andaman Sea. The resort will feature a 100-meter swimming pool, a COMO Shambhala Retreat with a yoga studio, two restaurants, and a private beach.
