Being a YouTube sensation is all the rage for kids and teens. They all see other kids doing unboxing shows and other things on YouTube, and they want to be a part of it too. Others, just want to learn how to make videos to share with their friends. Now, kids and teens visiting Velas Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta can learn to be a YouTube star. Hanging out in the kids club will offer them more than video games and outdoor play.
Launching in February, the resort’s new workshop explores how to create video content for YouTube and other social media channels. Developed for children ages 7-17, the YouTube Video Workshop teaches kids how to open an account, create video content, and how to upload videos. With help from the community manager, kids and teens will film themselves performing an activity, such as cooking or video blogging. After the recording is finished, the kids will learn how to edit their video and how to upload it onto YouTube. Once the video is edited, the finished clip will be sent to the parents to use for their own social media networks.
Velas Vallarta’s extensive activity program also features an indoor area for kids with spots for arts and crafts, tennis clinics, bonfires on the beach, Mexican bingo, mini Mariachi classes, karaoke, workshops for guests to learn the pre-hispanic technique of Arte en Popotillo, and more all included in the resort’s nightly rate.
