“An upcoming merge of Apple Vacations, Travel Impressions and Cheap Caribbean onto one online platform will greatly benefit travel agents,” says Mark Photiades, Apple Leisure Group’s product manager for Mexico, Central America, and the Dominican Republic, at DATE2015. If two of these companies work with a hotel but the third does not, he explained, the agent would be able to get the best rate.
The new platform will help both Apple Leisure Group and retail travel agents be more nimble, he says, “and it will improve our buying power,” which will benefit agents as well. It will also be easier for agents to book charters. For more information, appleleisuregroup.com or travimp.com.
