Viking will build six more ocean ships, leading to a total of 16 units built in cooperation between Viking and Fincantieri.

Delivery for the six ships is scheduled for 2024, 2025, 2026 and 2027.

Giuseppe Bono, CEO of Fincantieri, said in a press release statement, “The agreement confirms the extraordinary moment of the demand in this sector.”

“When we launched our first ocean ship in 2015, we set out to reinvent ocean cruising. We focus on the destination, and we do not cram our ships with gimmicks and water slides,” added Torstein Hagen, Chairman of Viking, in press materials.

Viking currently has four ocean vessels, with six more coming online between this year and 2023, followed by the aforementioned six.
