We’ve got 3 must-visit spots, plus an over-the-top accommodation.

#BeachTime

For absolute seclusion recommend your clients head to Anse Mamin Beach in Soufriere. This not-easily-accessible and rarely crowded beach, located near Anse Chastanet and Jade Mountain resorts, is tucked away amidst tall palm trees and offers one of the island’s most beautiful stretches of beach. Here, visitors can get some R&R while sitting back in one of the loungers or head to the beach bar for an afternoon bite and cocktails. Although it can be accessed by land, one option to recommend is having clients arrive at the beach via boat; that way as they sail toward the beach, they’ll feast their eyes on the glorious Pitons.

Another must-stop beach is at Pigeon Island. Although visitors will want to spend time frolicking in the water, catching some rays, or snorkeling, recommend clients explore the park as it’s home to some of the most historic sites in Saint Lucia. Pigeon Island was a separate isle until 1972, when the government built a causeway between it and the main island for easy access, and today, more active visitors can climb around the ruins of Fort Rodney—this is highly recommendable as it offers magnificent views.

#StreetParty

On Friday night head over to the celebrated Gros Islet Street Party Experience to see how the locals party. There are kiosks selling everything from seafood, BBQ and drinks—a great way to try authentic local food—to arts and crafts, and the island music is going full blast. Here, visitors mingle with locals as everyone dances on the streets, or dines alfresco. Walking around, visitors will spot buildings designed in the island’s traditional architecture, some so tiny you’d think the islanders knew the “tiny house” trend would one day be a thing.

#AfternoonTapas

During an island getaway, there’s nothing quite like spending an afternoon at a waterfront restaurant, and Tapas on the Bay—serving, you guessed it, tapas-style bites—is one of the best, most authentic options. The restaurant, located in Rodney Bay Village, roots itself in the sharing philosophy, serving little dishes from around the world so everyone at the table can have a taste, all in a Spanish-style, funky setting.

#HomeAwayfromHome

There are so many options for accommodations in Saint Lucia, it’s always hard to pick one—whether it’s the three Sandals properties, stunners like Jade Mountain, hidden gems like Calabash Cove, or wellness-focused properties like BodyHoliday. One option we highly recommend—ideal for families, girls’ and guys’ getaways, or clients who
love to splurge and want lots of space—are the 2,100-sq.-ft. Luxury 2-bedroom Beachfront Villas at Windjammer Landing Resort (there’s also a 3-bedroom option). These residential-style villas are located steps from the beach with ocean views and close access to most resort amenities, including the renovated spa. They feature king and two queen-sized beds, a pull-out sofa, en-suite bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, enclosed living and dining areas, and a private pool. There will definitely be lots of “oohs” and “aahs” when your clients first open the doors—open space, very clean design, and the outdoor shower in the master suite is a fab addition lots of clients will be taking advantage of. The pool terrace, too, overlooking the beach, is made for leisurely afternoons, and your clients are going to want to have lunch ordered in or cook up a feast in the kitchen (which truly does come fully equipped). Opt for the all-inclusive package, too, which includes unlimited food and drinks in five charming restaurants and four bars, as well as access to motorized and non-motorized watersports.
