On May 1, the travel industry celebrates you, the travel advisor. This year, ASTA is calling for all advisors and travel partners in the industry to take action in spreading the word on National Travel Advisor Day to educate the traveling public, policy makers, and the media on the value advisors provide to consumers and the overall travel industry.
How do you do this? Well, ASTA has made it easy by providing you with a toolkit, where you can find downloadable images and messaging you can share on all your social media channels, as well as links to an advocacy portal that connects you to local and federal lawmakers to communicate with them the importance of travel advisors to the travel economy. They made this an easy process, all you have to do is just make one click and a letter will be sent for you. And finally, the toolkit also includes a custom letter to the Editor tool to submit a pre-written letter to your local paper in less than 2 minutes. In addition, use #TravelAdvisorDay to share a story with your local media networks and the public.
