Carnival's Agentpalooza kicks off on May 11th.

Carnival Cruise Line is heading to you, agents. The company’s first bus tour, Agentpalooza, will stop across a few southern states, filled with fun, food, and activities.

“When I first took on this new job, we were looking for ways to engage with our travel agent partners,” says Adolfo Perez, v.p. of sales and trade marketing for Carnival Cruise Line. “We really wanted to take that to the next level in these key cities.”

He notes that this is an opportunity to thank agents and also applaud them for the great job they’ve done.

During Agentpalooza, the Carnival team will be talking to agents about Carnival and have the chance to sit down to speak with agents one-on-one. Perez says this is a good time to discuss “their business needs and marketing ideas.”

There will also be interactive opportunities for agents to experience the Carnival product through virtual reality experiences and participating in games that are often played on board during cruises. In addition, at each stop along the way there will be opportunities to win raffle prizes, including a complimentary 8-day Carnival cruise.

At each Agentpalooza stop, agents will have the opportunity to meet Adolfo Perez, as well as the sales leadership team and the field sales team, plus global representatives, and regional v.p.’s from the East and West Coasts. There will also be personnel to help agents with sales strategies, operation, and marketing ideas.

Now, if you’re wondering if Carnival’s Agentpalooza is headed to you, here’s the breakdown for the week-long trip. The stops will be at Houston, Texas on Thursday, May 11 at Minute Maid Park; New Orleans on Friday, May 12 at Mardi Gras World; Charleston on Monday, May 15 at Patriot’s Point Park; Atlanta on May 16 at Sunburst Park; Jacksonville on May 17 at Jacksonville Landing; and in Orlando on May 18 at Lakefront Park.

Many of these stops are cities where Carnival has a homeport at, and Atlanta, Perez notes, is a “very important market for us.”

For those in the West coast, don’t fret just yet. There might be a chance that Agentpalooza heads your way in the future. Perez says that, “It sounds like a great idea to us. We want to see how this one goes. This is the first ever. We have a big presence on the West Coast in places like Seattle and Long Beach. Maybe there’s another opportunity in the future.”

Perez also mentioned that, “besides the fun, food and activities, we’ll also be doing community service events there, as well, like food collections, and I’ll be working on the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society campaign.” Perez was recently nominated as a contender for Man of Year for the organization.
