Attending industry events and tradeshows is a great way for travel agents to stay up-to-date with emerging travel trends, as well as network with travel suppliers. Here are two upcoming travel events to consider.

Ecuador Presents its Travel Treasures in Eight North American Cities Throughout this month, the Ecuador Travel Expo, a traveling workshop developed especially for travel professionals by the Ministry of Tourism of Ecuador, will be on the road in the U.S. and Canada.

Participants will learn of the latest tourism developments in the country, as well as explore with experts Ecuador’s four regions: the Andean Highlands, the Amazon Rainforest, the Pacific Coast and Galapagos Islands. Additionally, participants will have a chance for one-on-one meetings with travel suppliers from Ecuador who represent hotels, lodges, tour operators and cruise companies operating in the Galapagos Islands.

All travel professionals who register and attend the workshops will be entered to win a trip to Ecuador, an award that will be made in each of the eight cities.The itinerary in the U.S. for the Ecuador Travel Expo is as follows: Houston on June 6; Los Angeles on June 7; San Francisco on June 8; Seattle on June 9; Miami on June 27; and Boston on June 28.  In Canada, the expo is scheduled for Toronto on June 29 and Montreal on June 30.

Faith Travel Conference Comes to Atlanta this Fall With more than 300 million people participating in faith travel annually, this travel segment is becoming one of the fastest growing in the U.S. Tapping into this emerging market, Unicomm, a travel industry show producer, has announced that the inaugural Faith Travel Conference & Exposition (FTCE) will take place alongside the Atlanta Travel & Adventure Show Oct. 22-23 at Atlanta’s Cobb Galleria.
