Months before its first-ever World Cruise takes its maiden voyage, Viking Cruises has already announced the second iteration of this round-the-world itinerary, which will set sail in early 2019.

Launching from Miami with London as its final destination, the second World Cruise will follow a different itinerary than its predecessor while covering five continents, 21 countries, and 44 ports with 10 port overnights.

Touted as “the thinking person’s cruise” by Viking Cruises’ chairman Torstein Hagen, the World Cruise offers guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in each destination through included excursions at every port, Viking’s Culture Curriculum with onboard regional entertainment and lectures, learning opportunities as part of the new Viking Resident Historian program, and much more.

For this 128-day journey, cruisers will sail on the newest addition to the Viking Cruises’ ocean fleet: Viking Sun. Included in the starting price of $49,995 is Business Class air, transfers to and from the ship, all gratuities and service fees, complimentary visa service, free luggage shipping services for embarkation, unlimited WiFi, and a beverage package that covers nearly all drinks on board.

Guests who book now through Sept. 30, 2017 will receive $2,000 in shipboard credit, which can be used towards optional tours, spa services, onboard shops and beverages.
