Whether it’s a trip to Walt Disney World Resort or a sailing aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship, a vacation with Mickey Mouse and friends remains a popular option for family vacations. For travel advisors looking to familiarize themselves with the offerings of Disney’s various brands, Disney Destinations regularly offers in-person educational experiences and site inspections.
In Orlando, advisors can participate in the monthly Walt Disney World Resort Hotels Site Tour and/or Walt Disney World–More Great Accommodations Collection Site Tour. The Walt Disney World Resort Hotels Site Tour is a comprehensive site inspection including one Value, one Moderate and one Deluxe Disney Resort hotel, as well as public areas, pools, room inspections and villas. The latter tour includes Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels, and Walt Disney World Gateway Hotels, as well as on-site deluxe style accommodations.
For advisors visiting Disneyland in California, there is the Disneyland Resort Hotels Site Tour offered every other month. This tour includes all three Disneyland Resort Hotels, as well as public areas, pools, room inspections, and villas. Advisors can expect to spend four to six hours on any of these three tours, allowing them time to also visit the Disney theme parks on their own.
Disney Cruise Line also offers a monthly ship tour at Port Canaveral, Florida. This onboard tour includes the staterooms, youth clubs, theatre, spa, dining locations, pools, nightclubs, lounges and more. Participants in this tour will also earn required credits towards a Cruise Counsellor Certification.
Disney Destinations also offers ongoing On-site Agent Education Programs. Participants are selected and invited by their Disney District Sales Managers. These multi-day experiences offer agents the opportunity to develop sales skills and techniques while experiencing select Disney Destinations products firsthand.
Exact dates for the 2019 offerings of these educational experiences have not been released yet. For more information, visit disneytravelagents.com. Also, be sure to check the three new Short Escapes offerings recently added by Adventures by Disney.
