FAMTrips.travel and YLTOUR DMC are inviting travel advisors on a 7-day FAM to discover Puglia, the region of southern Italy known for giving the country its boot-like shape.

Puglia is known for its whitewashed hill towns, its centuries-old farmland and its miles of Mediterranean coastline. On this FAM, advisors will start their journey in Lecce, which is known as the “Florence of the South” for its Baroque architecture, while one of the last stops will be in Alberobello, known as home to the trulli, which are stone huts with distinctive conical roofs. Advisors will also spend time in the Salento Peninsula, Galatina, Gallipoli, Martina Franca, Ostuni, and Otranto, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Highlights include a cooking class led by Italian mothers ready to share some classic recipes, an aperitivo tasting at a boutique winery, and a visit to an olive oil farm.

The Discover Puglia FAM will depart on Oct. 29, 2018 with prices starting at $1,599 pp dbl. A single supplement is available for $500, and non-industry guests can attend for an additional $200 pp.
