From June 1-Aug. 31, 2017, 10 hotels throughout the city of New Orleans are offering travel agents special rates starting at $79 per night through the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau (NOCVB)’s independent Summer FAM trip.
In addition to discounted hotel rates, travel agents can also request a VIP pass to use during their stay, which provides them with exclusive access to discounts and special offers at restaurants, museums and other popular attractions around New Orleans. Once the summer festival season gets into full swing, agents can sample New Orleans culture and cuisine through some of the city’s most popular summertime events, including the Creole Tomato Festival (June 10-11), the Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Festival (June 24-25), Satchmo Summerfest (Aug. 3-6), and COOLinary New Orleans, which lasts the entire month of August.
New Orleans also offers a variety of outdoor activities, from swamp and plantation tours to Mississippi River cruises. Or, visitors can choose to spend the day exploring the many exhibits at the National World War II Museum, or creating classic New Orleans dishes during a hands-on cooking class.
