Travel professionals interested in visiting Cuba can attend a people-to-people FAM trip in September.

Agents can choose one of two departures from Miami: After the ASTA Global Convention, Sept. 20-19, or after the NACTA conference, Sept. 22-30.

On the FAM, hosted by nonprofit organization the Fund for Reconciliation and Development, agents will have the opportunity to meet with professors and students from Cienfuegos University and the University of Havana, as well as take part in a discussion with representatives from people-to-people receiving agencies, a Cuban expert and official of U.S. Interests Section. Agents will also take walking tours in Cienfuegos and Old Havana, as well as visit an artisans market in Havana, a slavery museum and fortress.

The FAM is $1,984 pp and includes charter flights on American Airlines and five-star accommodations and services by Sol Melia. Hotels include Melia Marina in Varadero, Melia Buenavista in Cayo Santa Maria and Melia Cohiba in Havana. The registration deadline is Aug. 19, so hurry agents!
