AmaWaterways has unveiled plans for its biggest ship ever, AmaMagna, which is expected to launch in 2019. The 194-passenger vessel will be twice the width of traditional European river ships and feature spacious staterooms, multiple dining options including an al fresco glass-enclosed restaurant, more onboard activities and enhanced evening entertainment. In addition, AmaMagna will feature 97 staterooms—the majority of which will be over 300-sq.-ft.—as well as a large heated sundeck swimming pool with whirlpool and sky bar, a spacious spa area, a fitness room large enough for small group classes, common areas designed to accommodate a variety of onboard events, and an open-water sports platform, complete with zodiac boats, canoes and recreational equipment. Construction for the new vessel, destined to sail Danube itineraries, began March 6, 2017. For more information, call (800) 626-0126 or visit amawaterways.com.
