New York Global luxury hotels company, Splendia recently announced the opening of The Mondrian Soho. Slated to open on Feb. 22, this hotel is part of the Morgan’s Hotel Group, which has been a partner of Splendia since 2008.

The Mondrian Soho was inspired by Jean Cocteau’s 1946 film “La Belle et La Bete,” designed to provide a taste of Paris in the heart of New York. The 270-room hotel includes four spacious suites, each with its own terrace and floor-to-ceiling windows, and a penthouse on the 25th floor. The hotel has several distinct environments, from the lobby courtyard and marble foyer, to jewel-box rooms and a lush garden.

Taiwan This week, W Hotels opened the doors of its 39th hotel globally, W Taipei, located in the buzzing central business district of Xinyi. The 405-room hotel is encased in glass and boasts panoramic vistas of the 101 Tower, one of the world’s tallest buildings.

Ukraine Swissotel Hotels & Resorts is about to add another Eastern European hotel to its portfolio—Swissotel Odessa in Odessa, Ukraine, expected to open in spring 2013.

Sweden The Rezidor Hotel Group has opened a new flagship in Sweden, the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel, Stockholm.
Located in Stockholm’s city center, the 414-room hotel is within walking distance of the Arlanda Express rail link to the airport and the central railway station.
