Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Delta Air Lines and the Virgin Australia group of airlines have formed a trans-Pacific joint venture that will create a comprehensive, fully integrated network able to serve thousands of city-pairs in North America and the South Pacific. Delta and Virgin Australia have moved quickly to deliver the following new consumer benefits:

•  More booking options: An expanded codesharing agreement on flights between the United States and Australia (all flights between Los Angeles and the Australian cities Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane). •  Faster and easier connections in LAX: Flights operated by V Australia arrive now at Delta’s Terminal 5 at LAX within the same terminal as the rest of Delta’s network. •  Medallion Qualification Miles (MQM) eligibility: As a part of our expanded agreement with Virgin Australia, SkyMiles members may now earn MQMs in addition to miles when flying with Virgin Australia, when purchasing an eligible fare class.
