Travel Professionals Offered Learning Burst to Explore 200 Resorts in Global Portfolio and  Opportunity to Earn $250 in Resort Credits to Surprise and Delight Their Customers

Starwood Hotels and Resorts announces the Reveal a World of Possibilities resort campaign. Through Aug. 8, travel professionals can visit and experience a 6-minute video “learning burst” on the company’s dynamic resort portfolio. After completion of this learning burst, all retail travel professionals will earn $250 in resort credits to surprise and delight their best customers and maybe even use one for themselves.

The new travel professional campaign is a global initiative designed exclusively for Starwood’s valued retail travel professional partners around the world to educate them on the more than 200 resorts in the worldwide Starwood portfolio.

Starwood’s resort portfolio includes a wide selection of the most sought-after resort properties under the St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, W Hotels, Sheraton, Le Meridien, Westin, and Four Points by Sheraton brands. Experiences range from the enchanting Walt Disney World Dolphin, a Sheraton Hotel in Florida, to the alluring Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Ka’anapali in Hawaii, to the stunning St. Regis Punta Mita in Mexico and the breathtaking Westin Resort, Costa Navarino in Greece.

Participants will discover Starwood Hotels and Resorts’ global collection of resorts in stunning visual fashion and learn about unique experiences to help reveal the perfect vacation for their clients. Travel professionals will then earn 10 $25 resort credit award certificates to present to their clients as a special gift from them. The certificates will be valid for bookings made via the GDS, call center, web or preferred tour operators and wholesalers at participating properties. Award certificates are set to ship the week of Aug. 22 and will be fully customized and include the agency name. The resort credits will be valid for travel from September 1, 2011-March 31, 2012.
