Palacio del Inka

Travelers visiting Cusco now have a luxurious option located in the center of the city, Palacio del Inka, a Luxury Collection Hotel, which re-opened in August.

The 203-room hotel opened over 35 years ago across from the Temple of the Sun, designed around the Incan walls of the Mansion of the Four Busts. In August, the property completed a $15 million renovation, reopening as a Luxury Collection hotel.

Guestrooms at Palacio del Inka reflect a colonial-era style with large wooden headboards designed with gold leaf, all overlooking the colonial courtyard. The most luxurious accommodations, meanwhile, are the 17 Casa de los Cuatro Bustos suites, each with its own Quechua name, decorated with colonial and baroque elements and featuring hand-painted headboards, ceilings and wall decor from the Cusco School of Fine Arts.

The hotel also features a new spa on the ground floor, with walls and floors covered in Travertine marble; the Inti Raymi restaurant, which serves up international cuisine with a local twist; and Rumi Bar, which features an original Incan wall.

Rates start at $315 per night. For more information, call (877) 778-2281 or visit libertador.com.pe or luxurycollection.com/palaciodelinka.
