African Travel, Inc.’s new 8-day Namibia Desert Escape expedition itinerary, starting at $8,225 pp dbl, offers guests the opportunity to spot game, including elephants, giraffe, brown hyena and desert-adapted lions while flying over Namibia’s Skeleton Coast—a desolate stretch of shore named for the shipwrecks buried beneath the sand and the whalebones that once littered its shores. During a plane ride from the Namib Desert to the territory of Damaraland, guests can view the largest free-ranging black rhino population in Africa. Later, guests will have a chance to track the rhinos by foot with the help of expert rangers. Tented camps and lodging are provided at the Olive Grove Guesthouse, in Windhoek, the Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp in the Skeleton Coast, and the Desert Rhino Camp in Damaraland.
