The boat part of the trip takes place aboard Toum Thou, a 10-cabin Mekong Riverboat that’s fully-equipped with air conditioning, beds, and an en-suite bathroom and shower. The cycling portion ranges from 12 to 48 miles per day through a flat terrain of concrete, packed dirt, and some forest trails around Angkor.

“This is as much a food adventure as it is a bike one. While Cambodian cuisine may not be as famous as Vietnamese, it offers subtle, understated flavors, and our guides are experts at introducing guests to the finest food on both sides of the border.” —Adam Platt-Hepworth, founder, Grasshopper Adventures

On this itinerary, travelers will explore Angkor Wat, cycle through ancient temple ruins among tiny villages, participate in a rice wine tasting, tour Phnom Penh, visit Fish Sauce factories in Vietnam, have tea in a multi-generational family home, and attend a brick workshop to see how brings and other products are made, as well as walk through Saigon’s former French Quarter and tour the Opera House, the Cathedral, and the former Presidential Palace.

This itinerary is available on Jan. 2-12; Feb. 1-11; and July 30-Aug. 9, 2019. Standard cabin rates start at $4,900 pp. For more information, visit grasshopperadventures.com.
