You may have seen some buzz in the news regarding Brightline (soon to be Virgin Trains) opening a station on Walt Disney World in the next couple of years. Though a station on the Walt Disney World property is being talked about, is has not yet however been set in stone.

We reached out to Brightline who told us, “We are continuing to explore the possibility of building a station on Walt Disney World Resort property, which we believe will help transform the region,” says Ben Porritt, senior v.p. for Brightline. “A proposed station would provide a direct rail connection to Orlando International Airport and serve as the initial segment for Virgin Trains’ future extension to Tampa. A Disney station would offer the 126 million visitors and 21 million residents of Florida a car-free option to the state’s most visited attraction and one of the world’s greatest destinations.”

However, just because Orlando isn’t a done deal yet, doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of expansions and offers you can offer to your clients now. Just this month, the Boca Raton City Council approved a long-term lease with Brightline for the construction of a train station and parking garage near the city’s Downtown Library. By the end of 2020, Boca Raton is expected to be the third new station in the brand’s south corridor, joining Aventura and PortMiami. Currently, there are stops available in West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami. As you can see, the line is making its way up the Florida, with hopes of an Orlando-based station.
