Although there’s still a few days left in the December holiday season, it’s not too early to start preparing your clients for the next big event: Valentine’s Day. For those looking to mark the occasion with a romantic getaway, California’s L’Auberge Del Mar, a Destination Hotel, has created two romance packages for February 2019.
Available throughout the entire month of February, the Romance by the Sea package offers couples a stay in one of the resort’s Pacific Suites with ocean views and two balconies, plus fireplaces in four of the five suites. Alternatively, guests can choose to stay in a standard guestroom, which will feature a private balcony or patio and, in some cases, a fireplace. Lovebirds will be welcomed to their accommodations with a floral arrangement, and two spa treatments at Spa L’Auberge are included in the experience. Also included in the package are dinner for two at the property’s signature restaurant KITCHEN 1540, plus a white rose petal turn down, and a custom L’Auberge Del Mar blanket. Prices for the Romance by the Sea package start at $2,500 for a guestroom or $3,500 for a suite.
Couples who enjoy extra bits of luxury with their romance can opt for the From the Sea with Love package, which offers a 1-night stay in a Del Mar Suite. This suite features coastal views from three patios, as well as a fireplace, two flat screen televisions, a stereo, an oversized tub and a stall shower. A welcome floral arrangement will greet the couple upon arrival before a white Rolls Royce whisks them away to a champagne and caviar picnic provided by a butler at one of three locations: the top of Mount Soledad, Torrey Pines or the beach. Upon returning to the suite, the couple will receive an in-room couple’s massage, followed by champagne and a champagne and rose petal bath prepared by a bath butler. Custom monogrammed robes are also included. Next up on the full-day experience is an in-room candlelit dinner featuring an “aphrodisiac menu” created by the chef and presented by a personal waiter along with wine pairings chosen by a sommelier. To add to the evening’s romance, a classic guitarist will play during dinner, and dessert will be served on the terrace with candles and flowers. The evening will end with a rose petal turn down. The next morning, couples will wake up to breakfast in bed with champagne. The From the Sea with Love package is priced at $7,500 and is also available throughout the entire month of February.
